Getting Started
Getting access to medical cannabis in Virginia has never been easier. As of July 1, 2022, HB 933/SB 671 eliminated the requirement for a state-issued medical cannabis card. Follow these three steps to begin your journey as a medical cannabis patient at Beyond / Hello.
Step 1: Get Your Written Certification
Obtain a written certification from a practitioner registered with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. A state-issued medical cannabis card is no longer required as of July 1, 2022. Your written certification must be unexpired and valid to purchase medical cannabis at any Virginia dispensary.
Step 2: Register as a Patient
After you receive your written certification, register with Beyond / Hello before visiting the dispensary or placing your first online order for pickup or delivery. Registration can be completed quickly through our online intake form.
Step 3: Shop Online or Visit a Dispensary
Once registered, you can browse our full inventory and order products online for in-store pickup or delivery. You can also visit any of our Virginia dispensary locations in person. Current and newly registered patients have access to our complete product selection.

Beyond / Hello is the trade name for Dalitso, LLC (“Dalitso”), the Northern Virginia-based medical cannabis pharmaceutical processor awarded conditional approval by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Dalitso is majority-owned by Jushi Holdings, Inc. (“Jushi”), a US-based multi-state cannabis operator founded in 2018 with a mission to create an integrated global community of wellness, mindfulness, and connections through superior quality cannabis and hemp-derived products.

Virginia Dispensaries FAQ
Do I need a written certification to visit dispensaries in Virginia?
Yes. As of July 1, 2022, HB 933/SB 671 eliminated the requirement for a state-issued medical cannabis card. Instead, patients need an unexpired, valid written certification from a practitioner registered with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Because only medical cannabis (not recreational) is legal in Virginia, you must still provide verification that you are a medical cannabis patient in order to purchase products at a dispensary.
Can I buy recreational cannabis in Virginia?
No. Recreational cannabis is not currently available for sale in Virginia. Virginia has legalized medical cannabis only. Patients with a valid written certification from a Board of Pharmacy-registered practitioner are able to obtain medical cannabis from a licensed dispensary. To qualify, patients must have an ongoing relationship with a practitioner who has determined that medical cannabis would be beneficial to their health.
Can I buy from a Virginia dispensary if I am not a Virginia resident?
Unfortunately, no. Since cannabis is available only for medical use in Virginia, only Virginia residents with an unexpired, valid written certification from a Board of Pharmacy-registered practitioner can purchase from a Virginia dispensary. One of the requirements to be eligible as a medical cannabis patient in Virginia is that you must be a resident of the state. Out-of-state medical cards or certifications are not recognized in Virginia.
Do I have to be at least 21 years old to visit dispensaries in Virginia?
Yes. To purchase cannabis under Virginia law, we are required to ensure that patrons are 21 or older and have valid state-issued identification (driver’s license, passport, state ID, etc.). Medical cannabis may be dispensed to minor patients; however, any practitioner intending to treat a minor patient with botanical cannabis must authorize such use on the written certification form.
How much cannabis can I purchase in Virginia?
Only approved medical cannabis patients (and their approved caregivers) can purchase cannabis in Virginia. The amount a medical cannabis patient can purchase is a 90-day supply, which, while ultimately determined by the pharmacist in consultation with the patient, is typically up to 4 ounces of cannabis flower per 30 days.
What payments do Beyond / Hello Virginia dispensaries accept?
Beyond / Hello accepts debit and cash payments. We have an ATM on-site at all of our locations.
Do Beyond / Hello Virginia dispensaries sell cannabis vape products?
Yes, we sell a wide selection of vape products. Visit our online menu, select your local dispensary, and search for vapes to see our full selection of vape products.
Can I give cannabis products as a gift?
Unfortunately, no. Only approved caregivers and approved medical cannabis patients aged 21 and older can purchase cannabis products in the state of Virginia. In most cases, you cannot legally give someone cannabis as a gift. Virginia Code Section 18.2-248.1 makes it a crime to give someone else cannabis unless you are authorized to do so by the Drug Control Act.
