About the Ohio Medical Marijuana Program
Ohio offers medical marijuana only through the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program (MMCP). The program was established in 2016, allowing individuals diagnosed with a qualifying medical condition to legally purchase and consume medical cannabis at licensed dispensaries throughout the state.
To visit a dispensary, patients must hold a valid Ohio medical marijuana card issued by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy after receiving a recommendation from a certified physician. Beyond / Hello Ohio dispensaries accept debit cards and cash as payment. ATMs are available on-site at all of our locations for your convenience.

Is marijuana legal in Ohio?
Medical marijuana is legal in Ohio through the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program (MMCP), which was established in 2016. Patients with a qualifying medical condition and a valid Ohio medical marijuana card can legally purchase and consume medical cannabis from licensed dispensaries. Recreational cannabis is not available for sale in Ohio dispensaries at this time.
Do I need a medical card to visit dispensaries in Ohio?
Yes. Since Ohio operates a medical-only cannabis program, you must have a valid Ohio medical marijuana card to purchase cannabis at any dispensary in the state. To obtain a card, you must be diagnosed with a qualifying medical condition by a certified physician and register with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
How do I get my medical marijuana card in Ohio?
To get a medical marijuana card in Ohio, you must first be diagnosed with one of the state’s qualifying medical conditions by a physician certified by the State Medical Board of Ohio. How much cannabis can I purchase in Ohio?
Ohio medical marijuana patients may purchase up to a 90-day supply of medical cannabis. The specific amount is determined by the recommending physician based on the patient’s condition and treatment plan. Patients should consult with their physician regarding the appropriate supply for their needs.
What payments do Beyond / Hello Ohio dispensaries accept?
Beyond / Hello Ohio dispensaries accept debit cards and cash. We have an ATM on-site at all of our locations for your convenience.
Do I have to be at least 21 years old to visit dispensaries in Ohio?
Patients must be at least 18 years old to register for the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program. Minor patients under 18 may be eligible with a designated caregiver. All patients must present a valid Ohio medical marijuana card and government-issued photo ID when visiting a dispensary.
Can I buy from a Beyond / Hello dispensary in Ohio if I am not an OH resident?
No. Since Ohio operates a medical-only cannabis program, only Ohio residents with a valid Ohio medical marijuana card can purchase from an Ohio dispensary. You must be a resident of Ohio and registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy to qualify as a medical marijuana patient.
