About the California Cannabis Program
California legalized recreational cannabis for adults 21 and older. Both residents and out-of-state visitors with a valid government-issued photo ID are welcome to purchase cannabis at any BEYOND / HELLO California dispensary. No medical card is required for adult-use purchases.
Under California law, adults 21 and older may purchase and possess up to 1 ounce (28.35 grams) of cannabis flower and up to 8 grams of cannabis concentrate and manufactured products, including edibles, extracts, and oils. BEYOND / HELLO California dispensaries accept debit cards and cash as payment. ATMs are available on-site at all of our locations for your convenience.

Do I need a medical card to visit dispensaries in California?
No. Since cannabis is legal in California for both recreational and medical use, you do not need a medical card to purchase cannabis at a dispensary. Any adult 21 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID can make a purchase. Do I have to be at least 21 years old to visit dispensaries in California?
Yes. To purchase cannabis under California law, we are required to verify that all patrons are 21 or older and have valid government-issued identification such as a driver’s license, passport, or state ID.
Can I buy from a BEYOND / HELLO dispensary in California if I am not a California resident?
Yes. Out-of-state visitors who are 21 or older are welcome to purchase recreational cannabis at any BEYOND / HELLO California dispensary. You will need a valid government-issued photo ID. Non-resident adults are allowed to possess up to 1 ounce of cannabis.
How much cannabis can I purchase in California?
